Arkan for manufacturing and mining:
Arkan for manufacturing and mining is an Egyptian shareholding company and a subsidiary of arkan holding company , established in 2004 to execute and operate the project of producing FRIT (which is the raw material used in ceramic tiles industry to form the glossy layer on the surface of tile).
The factory has been built on an area of 20,000 m2 in 10th of Ramadan industrial city (near Cairo) and started the commercial production on 2007 using the latest European technology in this industry.
The company can be considered as a leader in Egypt and arab region in this kind of industry. And achieved a success in producing the same quality of the European frit for the first time in the region.

Arkan for production of silicon carbide:
This is the first project of its kind in the arab region , and it aims at producing silicon carbide material which is used as a raw material in many industries like : refractory , abrasives, steel industry and semiconductors.
The feasibility study of the project proved that the Arabian gulf area is the optimal place to establish such industry due to availability of energy which is one of the essential inputs for this industry.
The company has been established in 2007 as a Qatari share holding company owned by Arkan Holding.

Arkan international for building materials:
The company obtained the approval of the Public Authority of Industry in Kuwait to establish a plant for manufacturing the light weight blocks on an area of 12,000 m2 .
The company is currently waiting for the allocating such area in any newly industrial zones which are currently planned by the public authority of industry.
